Those LEDs you have won't work properly since the computer monitors all of the interior lighting as well. You'll need the Euphoria 6k kit which we developed for the E9x models.
Promise me they really look like the pure White Stage 3 kit you have for the E46, and I'll grab a set next paycheck! I really hate blueish white light.

Hi,
Is there anyone who can help me removing the front dome light since I cannot see anything from the pictures above. How can I get to the prong-clips. Can someone take clear pictures of removing the front dome lights step by step. By the way, I have a sun roof.
Thanks
Frank

for the sun visors where they snap to the roof closest to the sunroof pop open the little tab and unscrew the screw. Pull out the piece. Do the same on the other side. Your head liner will drop down. no need to take the headliner apart.

I just thought I'd share. I seem to have found an easier way to change the front domes. I had pulled off the frosted cover and was trying to pull down with my fingers in the reading lights as leverage so I could get at the tabs. This is when I found out the little black trim rings on the reading lamps pop out! From here I could just reach in with my fingers to pop the lights out and LEDs in.

I was just lookin through this thread about blowin fuses. Couldn't you just d/c the cars battery before this entire install to prevent such things? Or remove the fuse first? I have yet to attempt this so I may be wrong or missing something about our BMWs.

If u do this how would you know all the lights are in working order before u put everything back? The bulbs may need to be flipped sometimes

By disconnecting the battery first you would run into the issue where you wouldn't be able to figure out the proper polarity of the LED for it to light up

I need help...

You guys are fantastic. I need counseling please. My model is a 2009 328 hard top convertible E92 series, and I changed all interior lighting to LED bulbs with exception of visor vanity & rear cabin at each side. I took apart the visor light assembly (bmw 69966491 with W2.3W markings) and the rear cabin assembly (bmw 642.01.000.00) The bulbs are sub-miniature with P23/E12B/EX93 markings. Has anyone find a matching LED bulb for these? In addition the front dome assembly, the 194 LED bulb for the map lights goes off after exactly 10 seconds if the engine is on. The center 194 LED bulb is not affected at all. All light start at dimmed level, goes to full brightness and then dims again.

I would recommend the Euphoria 6K interior kit for your E93 cabrio if you want to retain all of your OEM functions
