Replacing 2011 E92 LCI front bumper cover with M cover

I have a unique opportunity to upgrade my 2011 E92 LCI front bumper to the M-Sport style bumper.

I was driving home from work yesterday and a car in front of me ran over a large piece of truck tire tread that was lying in the road. The tread bounced up off the road and slammed into the front of my car. The resulting damage was to knock out one of my fog lights and totally rip out the lower grid sections below the bumper. I drove directly to the dealership to get an estimate for repairing the damage. The estimate includes replacing the bumper cover and the front air ducts that were broken along with the fog light.

My question is will the dealership allow me to upgrade to the M bumper? The price seems the be the same and insurance is paying for the repair minus my deductible. I don't mind paying a few extra dollars if the conversion costs more.

Is this a good idea?

If you are willing to pay the little extra for it of course the dealership will let you. Do it, the M-sport bumper look so much better.

The dealership said "yes" to the upgrade. The difference is less than $700. This requires new air ducts, fog lights, and front wheel wells.
