I wonder if I should remove my resonators? I like the way it sounds now but I'm curious to see what it would sound like without them

Mine is RWD. Does that mean I don't have them?

Yes, on E90 RWD I am almost certain you dont have them. In that case I would just leave the resonators in or it might get too loud

Here you guys go

Do you have pics of your pipes. I'm on the same issue as you don't want my car sound like a Honda etc... I have a n55 e90 xdrive so my DP splits on two pipes and I like the sound of your car. Sounds strong but not obnoxious.

sorry dont have pic of my pipes of my current setup but this is what i have : N54 Tuning Catless downpipes + factory secondary cats+ BMW performance exhaust ( N55 E90X drive).

Car sounds perfect now... tad bit louder but doesn't drone or drive me crazy on the highway.

Your car sounds great! Deep and throaty which is what I am looking for. Getting a custom exhaust made. Tech said to get a deep sound like this I need a straight pipe in the mid section. VRSF DP going on as well. Do you agree with this??

Thanks man! It took some trial and error to get here but now I am very happy. If you go straight pipe it might be too loud man ... i would say do what i did which is catless downpipe + leave secondary cats in mid section+ replace OEM muffler with BMW performance muffler! This should mimic the sound I have.. I also have 4" burnt titanium tips but dont think they alter sound much. Goodluck and post a clip once you get it done!
