Ok gang - heres the deal...I have 19 days remaining to raise $1,000.00 to fulfill my commitment for March of Dimes. For the readers clarity - I have contributed $1,500.00 of my own money this year to this wonderful organization.

So...19 more days of "Bump" or $1,000...whichever comes first.

I'll sort this out. I usually support education in third world countries and nothing here since as said, I don't know your organizations. Because of my son's condition I'm even more freaked out by some of the religious stuff I see here.

Did you perceive my post as a negative? That was not my intention.

I think my nuff said was what threw you off. I didn't intend it with a negative connotation, just that when folks are trying to decide the best charities to donate to, they can use this site as a guide.

All I was saying was most charities worth giving to are rated accordingly on charitynavigator.org, and I frequently use it as a gauge to determine who I donate my hard earned money to.

I'm not going to bother if most of the money I donate never even sees its way to the bottom line.

MOD is pretty much on par with St. Jude, another charity I donate to frequently.

While it isn't a be all end all, it's nice to know which charities put the most toward their cause.

Even if their information isn't bleeding edge, charity navigator has other great resources to assist one with determining how to donate, and to whom, such as this:
