Coding 2011 M3 cluster to 2010 335
Can someone please give me a step by step coding procedure in NCS expert to set up my e90 M3 cluster in my 335? All I can find are clues and I am not familiar with the software and I don't want to break anything. I can't find a procedure from start to finish anywhere on the internet, so I hope you guys can help. I went into the software and clicked around, but I see too many options for what looks like different Kombi units. The cluster is already virginized as well. Thanks in advance!

I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, and this is a serious question; what is the benefit of moving to the e90 m3 cluster over the 335i cluster? There is the non-illuminated //M on the right side but it's so small and does not light up. You can BARELY see it in the daytime from outside and it's completely invisible at night. Sorry, Just wondering.

You'll probably get a lot more help posting this up in the Coding subforum.

Oh ok cool. Well in that case, I think OP should post this in the e9x m3 subforum and ask for help there. Those guys are super knowledgeable and quite helpful if you explain why you are posting and are nice to them. Non m3 owners post there asking questions quite often.

I don't think you read the question. I didn't ask for your opinion on the financial aspect of the project. I was asking for some advice, but I will move over to the coding forum. I happen to like the appearance of the m cluster along with the neato dynamic redline and that is all that counts for me.

If you get an M3 cluster with lower mileage (like they require) do they code in your correct mileage or will your 335i car now have the lower mileage attached to it's vin?

Cluster will take the mileage of the vehicle with higher mileage. If cluster has higher mileage than the car then car takes the higher mileage. You cannot code mileage. Haven't seen anyone that can code mileage per say either. That's also breaking the law as well. I'm not sure anyone wants to deal with the consequences if caught.
