Smell w/ E85 and catless downpipes

As anyone else noticed that running E85 mix helps eliminate the smell of catless downpipes?

It seems like since I have been running 35/65 mix of E85, my catless downpipes don't stink at all. I thought it was just a coincidence but the other day I filled up with straight 91 octane and as soon as I got to the first red light, I could smell my car.

Thoughts?

Less hydro carbons. E85 tends to have sweeter smell.

Now that you mention it... It hasn't smelled bad since I started using a E85 mix

I LOVE the way it smells. It is a bit of a sweeter smell. Smell the nozzle next time you fill up (yes I do this and yes they stare). It's awesome.

I like the smell of catless pipes. It reminds me of boats and marinas.

It doesn't hide any smell. It just changes it cause your not burning the same substance.

And you said your DPs don't smell? Are you smelling the pipes themselves or the exhaust out the mufflers
