interesting. I never knew about this feature lol. I stumbled upon it when I kept hitting my turn signal stalk putting in my gauge cluster.

1) remove the key fob from ignition.

3) Your low beams should come on. (My cars light switch was in the 0 position so idk if it works if you have it set to the automatic position)
4) exit your car, close the door and lock with fob.
5) You'll have maybe 20 - 25 seconds where your low beams will stay on even after you've left the car. They go out on their own after 20 seconds.
You can set this up to one minute, via idrive.
I panicked when I accidentally invoked this feature at a car dealership several years ago because I couldn't turn them off and was stressing that one of the salespeople would notice and be like WTF?

Turn on the range screen and start pumping in gas. You will see the range numbers will dial up in the real time as you are filling up the tank.

It's good to be in one of the states where gasoline is pumped for you. There have been several times when I've been watching the Range display and the pump senses a full tank before the range reaches what I expect. When I ask them to keep adding, it'll always take enough to add 50 miles or more.

It's not if you value the sealant/wax on your paint. Imagine all the times they have dripped gas all over your paint. =/

Did a quick search and it doesn't seem to have been posted before; but after having my 2009 328i E90 auto steptronic tranny for two months, I found out that there indeed is a sports mode (figured there wasn't since there was no 'sports mode' button). Just hit the boot over into steptronic and don't shift up or down and it is in sports mode. Not sure if this is so blatantly obvious that it wasn't posted on here, but nonetheless I didn't know about it so I hope I help at least one unsuspecting person

I always thought the trunk was secure if you disable the remote release, and take the key out of the fob. Until one day I get my car back with the ski bag removed.

Satellite Radio Rewind

Seems you can pause/rewind the current satellite station as well as track skip back/forward (not into the future though).

What year is your car? There is no USB port under the glovebox in our 2011 E92. There is a 12V port underneath the glovebox and you can put a 12V/USB adapter in that port but definitely no USB port.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Nothing. It is just under the footwell area.

WOW!! I just tried this and i cant believe i didn't know about it. If you look at the letters next to the shifter it says M/S duh!! The M means manual and the S is for sport, what a great find and it certainly was not obvious to me so thank you very much! Shift points are very firm and at a higher RPM, i wonder if it alters timing etc ?

Haha you're welcome! Here's what BMW says about it.
"Tune up: when sport mode is activated, engine output and driving dynamics take on sportier qualities, letting you enjoy your BMW's dynamic character at its peak.

Depending on which BMW model you drive, the sport mode can be activated by a touch of the "Sport" button on the central console. Immediately, your BMW feels even more dynamic: the electronic control units switch to sportier settings, making the engine more responsive and the suspension stiffer.
This increase in sports-style characteristics is accompanied by a reduction in powered assistance for the steering at low and medium RPMs for more direct and immediate steering, giving you an even closer sense of the character of the road.
In vehicles with automatic transmission or the Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG), activating the sport mode (also known as Driving Dynamic Control) shortens gearshift times and makes the gearshift characteristic even more dynamic."

I found out the hard way you can not use a 6MT M3 steering wheel in an automatic. You lose DS mode and the tranny acts funny when shifting manually.

now that winter is around, LOVE the "rest" function of my heating / cooling controls.

I think it was replaced for "all" in later E9X's.
