For some reason the TYC is only $60 + $40 shipping (and some more for customs) and the ALT MF is $80 + $10 shipping Should I pay more and get the TYC to ensure better quality. Or did you still get TYC when you ordered from the Canadian warehouse? Thanks!

Same thing - Tail light error
I had the same issue, I turned on my left signal and there was that fast loud clacking signal noise along with an error code. I still have my CPO warranty and Extended maintenance warranty but nothing covers the lighting. $400 something bill from the stealership. So I purchased Part Number: 63-21-4-871-753 from RMeuropean.com for just under $180! Should be a simple replacement involving 6 whole screws.

So let me get this, the parts from Rock Auto is the entire taillight housing? so just remove the entire tail light housing by removing a few screws, remove. Plug in the new one, mount in back on the car and done right? not bad for $53+ ship for the entire body rear housing or am i missing somthing? |

The reason why the hitting part works is because there are bad solder joints.

I had this problem, just opened them and resoldered and replaced half the leds, opening them is a bit fiddly you need to be careful not to crack the lens.
After resoldering and closing them up witch plastic glue and silicone they've worked flawlessly for over 2 months and at least 10 car washes, and around 15 days of rainfall. |

Finally ran in to this issue... 70K on the dial for my 2009 335i Sedan LCI. Passenger side.
Just ordered these... https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...ll-63214871753 I've ordered from them before and the lifetime warranty has worked well in the past, figure the extra 30 or so bucks for the set will cover me if I have issues in the future. |

Are you still looking for defective outer tail light? I just ordered a replacement for my defective driver side rear ("left") tail light, and a matching light to preemptively replace my passenger side.
