“Brake" light is on after install BBK
Hi, guys.
After install a set of big brake kit. I zip tie the brake sensor, changed the brake fluid. However the "Brake" light on my dash is always on, and a lift sign(Maintenance?) will appear when I start the car. No codes on Access port. Any one have any idea what is going on? Is this normal? What should I do? Should I code the light out? Thanks |

Is your BBK compatible with the pad sensor? You have to splice and short the loop on the sensor wire to avoid the code.
Also, after it was swapped, I had the brake fluid light come on. Will need to have that reset at the next service interval. Do you have this light after your fluid flush?

same experience, but not running BBK
You have to have the interval reset + i believe replace the sensor. I am currently trying to reset the interval without replacing the sensor and it won't let me. It says I have 255% left on it though I reset my front pads (using the old sensor) and brake fluid in the interval computer, but the rears won't reset. My rear sensor is just ziptied to one of the multilinks. |

Like the others have said it's probably a CBS issue. Check the dash service menu and you will prob see dashes on the brakes. I have this happen abt once a year...a pain in the butt.
