Key fob Unlock Questions

I Do not have the comfort access and recently i've noticed with BOTH key fob's won't unlock my car unless i'm within 5 feet? When I bought my car I'm pretty sure it would unlock from a much greater distance.

Could it be the car is not recharging the key fob? Or is it possible something's wrong with the sensor since it's happening with both key fob's and not just the one I use on a regular basis?

Mine did this too, but I have comfort access. I would like to know why it does this also?

Maybe yours do but mine (with CA) unlock the car from at least 80 feet away.

I used to be able to do this, now its down to like 10 feet. Low battery maybe? Even though I have CA, I plug the key in almost every time after I start it

If you have comfort access the batteries do not recharge when in the ignition, you need to replace the batteries, couple of bucks and you're good to go.

i wonder what type of battery is inside, li-ion? You can test if the battery is still good by locking/unlocking the car after you have driven for sometime. If the distance has increased, maybe your battery is going bad. I dont think its replaceable unless you want to break apart your fob.

Garage List
I have heard that reception is lessened when the car has tint. I don't know if this is true though...

The CA fob battery is not rechargeable. The CR2032 battery must be replaced every 2~3 years.
