SoCal BMW mechanic shop

Quick question guys,

I got a clutch problem...car is under CPO still but some parts of the clutch are covered and most are not. I think it's a hydraulic problem... Car jerks at the end of release of the clutch...and clutch also feels like it doesn't pull apart the gearbox from the motor when it is pressed in like half way...basically feels like some sort of a short shift clutch...when I downshift the clutches fully engaged like when I have like 30% left to pull it out still.

So looking for a SoCal shop...any suggestions? It's an 07 E90 manual tranny.

Thanks,
-P

If you're gonna buy a clutch, buy it from ecs tuning. They're selling re-manufacture clutch kits for 300! But the jerky feeling sounds like you need to look at your flywheel. Usually its from heat spots on flywheel. When you press the clutch down all the way does it feel like a rock? (Not talking about when it hits the clutch stop) does it spring back slightly when not using all your force?

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

You're in Pasadena? I've got a BMW master mechanic in Lake Forest that could help you out. Cheaper labor than any other shop, that's for sure. PM if you want his information.

Lake forest is far from Pasadena. If you come down to OC, bullet in Costa Mesa is closer. There has to be a good shop in the foothills that ca do it.

Try Bimmer PhD in Pasadena. http://www.yelp.com/biz/bimmer-phd-m...rts-pasadena-2 I've had them work on my car before and they definitely do a great job at a great price. Their two main mechanics were both Master Techs at BMW.

The only downside is they are usually extremely booked. So call and see what they can do for you!

Hey guys thanks for the posts.

I live in Torrance now...miss Pasadena...

It's odd...I guess I should get it looked at...I assume these phd guys in pasadena can install a performance kit might as well if I have to replace. Cutch has no vibration or slip...just jerks and connects early before ,the pedal is fully let go...when I push it in from fully out...kinda seems like nothing happens I'm the first several inches of pushing in...like 4-5 inches of pushing in...nada.
