Hey guys,

This is wicked hard for me to do but there is a house in my future and the car needs to go to free up some extra capital (well that and the fact that it's slower than a 335 up here :P). I'd love for someone local to snatch this up so pass it along to friends/family/acquaintances etc.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Absolutely gorgeous car, but I totally understand how priorities can change. Good luck with the sale and purchasing your house!

Man that sucks but getting a house is a much better investment especially now with rates so low on financing. GLWS, the car looks awesome!

Hey man I am just wondering if you have done the math and feel that it is really necessarily to get rid of your car to get a house? I ask because there are a lot of people on this forum who think that just because they have a kid or want to buy a house that the car automatically has to go. I have always wondered about that because I am able to afford a 200k mortgage, plus car, plus bike, plus a kid and I know for a fact that I dont have anywhere near the highest income on here (not even close).

Your payments are pretty low and it seems likely that anything else you buy will probably bring you pretty close to that payment anyway.

Obviously its non of our business but im just curious.

Believe me, I have thought long and hard about it too. The monthly payments are not the issue, it's the equity I have in the car which could be put to better use on a house right now. If I don't get a reasonable number on the car then I won't get rid of it and just continue enjoying it.

Although I do have to say a 1M sounds pretty appealing

Cool. That makes more sense that you are looking to extract the equity to assist with the purchase.

I agree, the 1M does seem pretty tempting ;-) Especially since the E9x 3er is on its way out.

Not everyone on here is as lucky as you Sid. I just bought a house and didn't have to sell my car, my bike, or my old lady.

But, I do understand Chad's situation. I thought long and hard about selling my 335 in order to come up with a big down payment to make it easier on me but I decided last minute not to. Think of it as a house will always be a better investment than a car. Anyone who drives an M3 should easily be able to afford both if they really wanted to.

I agree man. A house is definitely a smarter purchase then a car but my point was that people just automatically assume that they can only have 1 or the other. You know you see people on here all the time that say they have to get rid of their car because they are getting married, or having a kid, or whatever. It just seems to me like people automatically think they have to make that sacrifice when really they dont.

That is just like when I bought my first house and I was only 20 years old. Everybody told me that I couldn't buy a house I should just rent because I was too young and I was like "why? What does that have to do with it?".

I think Chads reasoning makes sense but a lot of other peoples logic on here is out of wack.

Well, I do know some people who actually can't get their priorities straight. Some people just don't know how to save for a rainy day. If I ever sold me car to help purchase a house, that usually means that I'm gonna come back better and stronger then the last. For example: sold M3 to buy house. 3 years later...........New turbo M3.
