dont take the car... you are the buyer... get what you want, easy for us to say since it is not are car and you have been waiting for the car for so long.... but i would not take it, New front bumper, or the $$ to replace the front bumper... you had Emailed him about it and he conformed it, yet they still did it?? That is totally bad customer service. I would stand to your request...

1. New Front bumper
2. Cash for you to get a new bumper
3. LEAVE!!! if he has already made a mistake before you have even got the car... whats going to happen with the next problem? i would stay away from this stealership.

GOOD LUCK! remember its your money, you worked hard for this.. as you said this is your first new car. GET WHAT YOU WANT!!!

i wouldnt take it, id make them start over as the car was not as u ordered it. my car made it to me this year as a 2006 with no holes drilled into the bumper. i wouldnt have bought it if it did have holes. if my car can make it through three dealerships without having holes drilled, you shouldnt have to deal with it either.

Thanks for all your support guys. Another strong reason why I couldn't walk away from the car is because of the holiday credit. And also I heard all the production for the 2010 has stop.

Already drilled in Germany???????? That's a flat out lie. The holes get put in the bumper cover at the dealership. But most high end dealerships (where a front plate is required) will always ask first if you want the front plate bracket installed on the vehicle. But there are some dealers that are sticklers since its the law. When I come across a dealer like that, I leave and buy the vehicle from a dealer who will sell me the car the way I want it. I'll take the chance on getting caught without it.

tell him to swap it with another car on the lot or your not gonna buy it. If it has holes in the bumper, it's not what you ordered. Plain and simple.

OP>>>>> this is what you have to do:

Go to body shop to get price quote on bumper painting, then collect that money from CA and take the car. Keep the money, don't paint bumper, plug it in with plugs instead. Car will look great with bumper plugs, and you'd have an option to install the plate tempo when you have to fight the ticket when you get one for not having a front plate. And... you just made a few hundred $$$$ as a bonus!

What dealer is this? That way we can know which one not to order from. Especially if he doesn't make you "whole"
