Hey guys... new to the forum! Just bought my car yesterday.

I will be running Hoen Xenonmatch H8 Angel Eyes/Fogs, and H3 Xenonmatch Cornering Lamps.

If they don't fit my fancy, I'll prolly go Lux8. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the DIY post!!
REALLY Helpful!!

I replaced my drivers side halo.
The dealer wanted $50-60, a local guy said $30-40/
I did it in 15 minutes, after 4 beers.
There's the skill level for ya...

The e90 angel eye bulb replacement is much harder to do than the e92 I take it?

Are the fogs as well?

Thanks

So funky--but it makes sense once you've driven the car in poorly lit scenarios.

few problems with installing halo LED bulbs

Wsup guys.. DIY noob here just installed the CIty Vision LED H8 halo bulbs on my car and I had a few problems:

1) The driver side bulb was a PITA!!! to put it!! In the end I couldnt get it to fasten correctly so its kind of ghettorigged but the LEDs seem to be pointing at the two holes in the fixture that I assume route to the Halo rings. Any ideas on how to get this straight? (chop off a finger or two? )

2) The vendor (e-92 lighting) claims that these will NOT throw an error code. When I was installing them I checked to make sure they worked one at a time before putting them in the housing but after I got them both in and got in the car I got an error

3) Is it just me or do the Outer rings not light up as much? When I see them in pictures they look bright as hell but in person not soo much.. Should I send them back and go for some Halogen or real HID bulbs? (Btw i feel i paid WAYYYY too much for these bulbs considering I can get a full HID kit for $60)

I see a lot of you mixing up your cornering lights, angel eyes, and fogs with different brands. Why not use the same thing for all three? What am I missing?

I had GP Thunder 8500k in mind for all 3. H8 35W for the fogs and Angels, then the H3 55W for the Cornering.

So what happened with this? I have the thunder 7500K H8 bulbs sitting in my garage, opened the lid, saw the tight working space and thought, well, maybe another day!

Looks like a tight fit, and people are getting codes....anyone?

just installed that same bulb about 10 min. ago....no codes and it gave me what i was looking for.....a cheaper way to get rid of the "yellowish" ring for the halo lights. I can't speak for the LED H8 bulbs the other poster was talking about, but the Thunder bulbs work great.

Install was a little bit of a pain and the driver side was the hardest, but all in all, its not to bad. (i have small hands...carnie style)

I think this bulb is also used when you "flash" someone with your brights i.e. you driving behind a slow person in the fast lane and you want them to move over (i think it is illegal, but people do it anyway) so you can pass them. My 335i coupe worked this way, but i am not sure if my M3 coupe does the same thing.

can i have DRL on with the fog lights?

Dear all today i installed GP thunder 8500 H8 bulbs to both the rings and the fog lights, below you can see the pictures.

the problem is that the color of the angel eyes turn to yellowish if i turn the low of high beam, i like to run the fog lights with the low lights?

DRL is more whiter and i like it, how cani have DRL power and fog lights at the same time ???

GP thunder 8500 H8

huh ?!

Damn waleedam how come is it THAT purple ? I thought 8500k were supposed to be white with a light blue crisp ? Where did you buy them ? I am waiting for mine bought on e92 lighting to arrive any days from now. IMO deep purple like that doesn't suit a bmw.

Check out this **********s post where the guy is supposed to have H8 8500k GPT on. It's like day and night with your pictures !
