newbie Q: lowering car with H&R springs
shop charging me $4k including springs + installation, is this ok? clueless on this stuff so don't ever know if im being ripped or not. thanks!

I wouldn't just lower on Springs tbh, I'd pay a bit more to go with coilovers... but anyways, that price sounds reasonable.

FYI, I bought mine last year, H&R Sport springs for $2,000 new. $2,300 walk-in price.

Agreed with Ryan, you should try coilover (PSS10, KW V1-V3, Saches) or some sport suspension combo like Bistein B8 with HR spring / EB spring especially yours is carbrio which weight more heavy.....+200KG!

oh..maybe ill try out the springs first, called cargym on quote for pss10s other day, they said 14,800 special. Whats the reason u switch from spring/shock combo to coilover set?

Just springs killed my original shocks (really) and it has a problem of hitting the fenders when I am overload or play rough on corners

If you go with lowering springs, you'll eventually want/need to get new shocks or coilovers. So it's better to save up and just go all out with a full suspension and pay for installation once.
