One of my other cars is an Olds Alero that I lowered back in 01, I didn't change the struts and it's still going strong with the original ones. So I'm not that worried with our OEM ones, I'm certain they are of better quality than the Olds's. |

But by setting it to softest setting or even as soft as stock, you probably couldn't go that low at all because of possible rubbing issue. So there must be a balance between comfort and appearance.

the funny thing is that some ppl are complaining that the KWs have sweaking problems, then the H&Rs have rust problem....lol, there's nothing perfect for us XI owners

All I know is that I cant afford another mistake.. Bunch of ppl say good and bad things about coilovers (both H&R / KWs). I guess I wouldnt know before driving each, I dont need a complicated system, just one setting which is comfortable, doesnt bottom out or bounce around, with a gentle drop..

It's not the softest setting per se, but a softer setting. I was shooting for a more equal drop so the front looks like there's a bigger gap. The over all drop is about 1.5" front and back.

How much faster would eibachs on stock shocks go bad compared to the regular springs? KW's are too expensive for me right now and id hate to go just springs.

Well I already have 11k miles on my struts and 10k with the eibachs. I have been noticing a little more bounce in the suspension the last few thousand. I am planning one either getting the Bilstein's or go for the kw v1 once spring comes around.

Eibach Pro system kit
I haven't read on any of these posts where someone has used the full Eibach Pro System Kit (Eibach springs with Eibach dampers). The set is only $677. Is this not enough to prevent going with coilovers or buying much more expensive shocks to go with the Eibach Pro-kit springs.
Thanks. |

Just thought I'd add a few pics of my E90 xi dropped on Eibach springs. I'm happy with the results. The ride is comfortable and handling is noticeably better.
