It's crazy how much tires make a difference...I had the General Exclaim UHP's and thought they were good but, Man tires really do make a difference. This post is pointless (I know) Just wanted to tell someone since my wife could give 2 shits about tires...

Ya Generals area great for just mild driving around town. Comfortable, and lasts forever.
Once you start to take hard corners, etc... they start to complain... which is good... keeps me from getting too cocky on the street

I never understood why guys buy cheap tires? It's the first thing that will save you in an emergency.

With tires alone you get better results than lousy tires and lowered, wide and all the stuff. PS2 my next tire?

My car has 235/265 PS2s and I was driving a non sport 328 this morning with the Turanzas. Makes me realize how fast I really have been driving. Every corner I heard howling and acceleration was work with them. I love my PS2s and will buy another set when these are worn out.

I had almost deluded myself into accepting my Potenza RFT's as a nice ride and that there really couldn't be THAT much of a DIFFERENCE with a different tire...say like a PS2. Finally wore out the RFT's and went for the PS2's....
WOW!!! Honestly, these ought to be considered the Stage 1 suspension upgrade for this car - - smoother, quieter...WOW! |

Question about your PS2s
I have a 335 coupe sport package with stock 19 inch rims. The stock tires are 225/35/R19 front and 255/30/R19 rear. I replaced the run flats with Dunlop Sport Maxx non run flat but still find the ride a bit too harsh. I want to go to Michelin PS2s and increase the tire height to 225/40/R19 front and 255/35/R19 rear. Given the larger diameter, does anyone know if I will have a problem with scraping in the wheel well or will these tires be fine?
Thanks |

Hmmm mine ran around $380 or so each tire for the rear, 265/30/19 and I believe it was around $300 or so for the fronts 245/35/19. Not sure on the exact specs and dollar amount but it was around $1500 after tax and mounting and everything.

sorry slightly off topic but...
"Just wanted to tell someone since my wife could give 2 shits about tires..." This really explains why I spend so much time on this forum. I have the same type of wife. |

Personally, I have owned 5 sets of tires for my 335 and it only has 9600 miles on it. Had the original Potenzas, sold those; bought my PS2s for the 19s. Bought Pzero Neros for my first time at the track, sold those and bought PS2s for my 18s. Just bought a set of snow tires for the 18s since the PS2s dont like cold. |

I remember the first time I drove my old Impreza with Yoko A008-R. Compared to the crappy stock Sube tires, the Yokos made the car feel as if the suspension had been upgraded. Brian |

Wow I really dont know how people can say PS2's are a lot better than General UHP. I have had both and there is not a big difference except for the fact that my new generals will last at least twice as long. I think people are just trying to justify the ridiculous price they paid for these tires.
But of course this is just my own opinion. |
