VERY loud engine noise
Just 30 minutes ago I was driving on an unfamiliar road and drove over a large dip... I was so scared that it would damage my car, but I checked the bottom and found no scratches. However, when I got out of the car to check, there was a very loud engine noise, and now I hear this noise while driving.
It's not the AC, because I kept the AC turned off. Somebody please help!:sad0147: |

ouch man that sound strange, not a rim? or something you think something in the engine got messed up? i doubt it....
its also hard to diagnose a problem just from a little story btw, no offense

oh yeah, sorry about not giving more info. I'm positive it's not a rim or any external damage, I've checked all around my car.
After driving it around some more I realized that the noise starts to kick in when my engine temp is over 180 degrees fahrenheit. I opened my hood while the engine was on and now I think it might be the fan that's causing the noise. |

wow, musta been a tough hit... well this is why we have the collision branch from BMW, bring it to them, im sure they'll diagnose it and hopefully it wont be too costly. theres nothing more "you" can do... so to speak. i'd bring it to the professionals.

It's probably something simple like a bend fan shroud. If it's not however, your insurance should cover the damage costs because technically it was a collision that caused the damages.
