Yeah, it definitely won't be the quickest software out there, but for how it keeps your fuel econ the same and keeps the warranty unaltered, that's the only aspect which makes it stand out from other. I wish I had Remus Race. Which diffuser did you go with for that?

LOL. I know that feeling, man. I kept worrying that something would go wrong at the last moment... and it did! They got my VIN off by a number and ordered software for the sedan trim instead, so I had to wait an entire weekend for the new one to come in. But it wasn't bad because I got a 128i loaner meanwhile, which was incredibly fun. Hopefully they won't mess up on yours. You'll be happy when it's there. Makes the car that much more perfect.

Starting to notice more exhaust
note in the cabin now. Really like the way the PPK1 is going.

Yes, it really wakes up the tone. Especially if you roll your windows down and step on it, it's a beauty/beast combo. Our cabins are really good with sound-proofing, so the exhaust is even prettier on the outside for all the pedestrians to hear, lol.

First long road trip on the PPK... can't seem to get her to push past 9.5psi (p3cars vent gauge). Any luck for anyone else pushing beyond that? This is from dropping to 5th gear at 55mph and going to the floor and waiting. I think I need a charge pipe but the wife wont let things stray from warranty for half a second.

Anyone else notice RPM surging up and down at cold start?
As it warms it idles more smoothly?

I've had that happen on the rare occasion.

It's normal.. Our cars have rough idling.. I bought my car with the performance package an I loved it until I got spanked by my cousin and his jb4..so I got it myself.. It's nice cause when I'm alone driving spiritually I'm on map 1, and when the wife is in the car I'm on map 0 which is with the ppk..I don't know what stock feels like but I'm sure it's a better upgrade either way.. When I went from ppk and map1, there's minor increase in hp.. Map 2 is much more aggressive. anything is better than 300hp stock to the crank..

I notice this, too, and even hear the engine slightly sound up and down every second. Kind of annoying, but I assume it's just normal as they said here.

Yes, JB4 will spank most other tunes overall. The PPK is far underpowered in comparison, but it's point is that of being factory which sets it apart from others. For pure power, JB is always the one I see that people use.

I just ordered the PPK ST1 from Tischer. I will have it installed on the 5th when I take her in for an oil change. I'm looking forward to the extra power and the sound.
I am still trying to figure out why they de-rate the torque for the manuals. The only thing I could think of is that they didn't think the clutch could handle the extra torque but I doubt that. Anyone know the real answer? |

Have you heard of a fail in the N55? As I read I know it is the same
part, but had not heard of any N55 fails...

Yeah, I think it's just the way the car idles. Well, I hope it's so. A failing HPFP would be more severe. These are just tiny little movements in the RPMs.
