Brake Replacements

Hi all, i'm about to change my front disks & pads since the pads seem to be getting very thin and i dont want to do the replacements during the winter (Canada gets freakin cold!!). I've been reading up on replacing the sensor and heard horror stories... some say yes change it; others say not to.

I currently do not have any indication on the dash to change the brakes.

Since I will only be doing the fronts is it worth it to change the sensors or not? If so, do i need to reset anything afterwards or leave it "as is"? I've also read about splicing the wires together etc. but tends to be when replacing all 4 corners, not just the fronts.

Thanks in advance!

Andrew

There is only 1 sensor and it's located on the left wheel. If you are fortunate enough to remove the sensor without braking it, then go ahead and re-use. The correct sensor for the car just snaps into place, no wiring needed.

Ahh good to know! I was reading & saw many people had 2 sensors: 1 front, 1 rear.

Any reset required on the Idrive if i don't change the sensor (unless i fudged it up)?
