I'll have a 330xi, engine, exterior, interior, suspension and everything else stupid I want to do to include a new paint job... For a grand total of $35k, car paid off. $25k plus the $10.5k I paid for the car after talking the dealership down $9k. It's pride Alfred... Having something that very few people else have. Having that car that when you pull up to a bimmerfest, people are like... "Wtf!" Anyone who knows E90's, will know that what is done to my car is in fact unique. If you own a 335, you cannot say that. Regardless of what you might say, My car will be finish and paid off for the price of a 335 with ONLY engine upgrades. With pride comes to the drive to be unique.
So what you are trying to say is that you perfer to be "different" then everybody else? Good for you! IMO though, I know more E90 325/330 owners then 335 owners.

A 330 right now might be more reliable then a 335 right now stock, but once you add a supercharger into the mix, reliability goes downhill.

Everything goes downhill when you start adding HP to stock engines, even if the stock engine can handle HP. It's rated for so much. But I said everything! lol And most of the reliability issues I hear about when it comes to 335's are electrical and computer issues. Everyone's going to have a issue with their car sooner or later. And for the record, I seem to be talking to more 325i and 335i guys than anything else. When people talk about 330's and HP it's always.. Sell that shit and get a 335! lol Regardless, and maybe one day after this deployment and my car is done and lookin it's best... I'll run into some of you Colorado guys and we'll recap these conversations. lol

I do however, and I'm serious about this, want to meet up with some E90 guys and see what all they've done, how it looks, stuff like that. Get a feel for what on a car, that has been changed, I like. Because everything I'm getting for my car will be ordered online and shipped my house and I wont see it until I'm back home on R&R or back from deployment and having everything installed and done. I want to get some input and check out some of your guy's stuff. lol

Alfred only said that because of this quote:

No matter who you talk to, they will say that same thing if you told them that. We mean no disrespect to you. We are just giving you our opinions on your best option not only because we drive 335's, but it's just easier to modd a 335. I use to own a 325i. It was not worth modding. Ask Rickpike why he went from N/A to a 335.

I you for wanting to do something different. If you do ever finish with the project, I really would love to see how it turns out and how it would fair against a 335. Good luck.

You're just west of Denver and I've been to the car meets up there a couple times that we've been invited to so in the event I make it up that way again, for sure, I'll hit you up. Maybe we can hit up Highway 83 from the wolfensburger exit south of Denver on 25 and finish by the AFA in the Springs. lol Fun road! I just wanna meet more guys in this area.

I can't wait to get back and finally meet other owners too. I was about to start going to meets when I got tagged with my deployment. So now I have a laundry list of things I wnt to get done when I get back.

More power to you if you want to be different...but just keep in mind, different than a 330i supercharged, is also an M3....10-15k with your car+25k =M3. Much higher resale value, and it;s an M3! I think I've seen 2 in the springs, a space grey and a white. (yeah I know its RWD, but with snow shoes it'll get around)

BTW are you out at the airfield?

Yea... I went south a few times and it seemed the further south I got, starting from Sac down to San Diego was just rough on the interstate. And a lot of trash and stuff on the sides of the roads. Havent been down that way in a few years, not since I drove my cousin to college but still... No joke. North isn't all that great either once you get to about Redding.

I just saw this on Facebook its taking place this weekend. I know most of you here aren't into the whole stance scene but seems pretty cool. I'll be checking this out this weekend. Would be pretty cool to see other BMW enthusiast present as well.
