sorry to revive an old thread but just to clarify, this seems weird to me but if i buy an m3 wheel with the dct + and - i can just put it onto my car replacing my current sports wheel with the horrible push and pull paddles? seems odd that if i understand correctly it is pnp for me but not for someone with the + and - as standard

If yours is pre-LCI, then it's straight up PnP, if it's LCI, then you need to rewire them.

Yea if yours is the old push and pull on both side then, it's PnP, if yours is the - and + then it not PnP and you have to rewire them

Another thread revival!

Where to buy the extended paddles — the whole PnP unit? I've seen threads that are the paddles alone, but I have a feeling that's not enough to make the conversion from push-pull to left-right — unless I'm misunderstanding just how PnP these are w/the M3/Performance DCT steering wheel ...

Thanks a ton for the info and pics. I had no idea you could do this until I stumbled on this thread recently.

Any links how to do this?
My car is pre LCI and the steering wheel is from LCI. To make sure I did order M3 DCT flaps from ebay...
I am using Burger wires for swap.

Kalulu, how do you like the extended paddle form factor? Do they ever get in the way of operating any of the stalks?

I've got the standard paddles on my car now and they're not push-pull. Right upshifts and left downshifts, just like OP said the M3 ones do.

What am I missing?
If you push in on the left or right side it should down shift.

If pull in on the left or right side it should up shift.

At least that's what all the sport paddles do that I've driven/owned.

EDIT-Just realized this is an old thread. UGH LOL
