I think it's hard to have the same hype as the 350z did. When I first saw the 350z and G35 coupe out..man it really caught my eyes. The huge rear fenders and the beautiful stock exhaust sound were something that would make a head turn. All for around $30k too.

I love it when someone has a somewhat quick car they think they can take out powerhouses like EVO's. An EVO IX with bolt ons is an 11 second car and would demolish a 335i in the straights, a road course or an autocross.

with a good driver they will, but ive come across many evos with bolt ons and I beat them due to the lack of a good driver...

The GTR/911 assault is undoubted, but I'm gonna respectfully disagree in that Nissan isn't trying to go head-to-head with Porsche on all fronts.

EVO smashes a 335i in every aspect of performance. Stock for stock and mod for mod. Sorry pal there is no arguing that... We are talking about cars, not "my cars faster because I'm counting on the other guy to be a shitty driver" and if you know anything you know that if anything... the EVO makes a shitty driver a better driver because it can so easily make up for the mistakes of whos behind the wheel with it's performance attributes.

first of all stock for stock in a quarter mile 335i>evo,335i with tune >evo with tune.... the only advantage the evo has in a straight line is the launch if launched properly... just to shut u up im going to post a video of me beating a intake, full exhaust and tune evo with my JB2HR e90 on 100 octane

A stock EVO IX clocked in at 12.9... bone stock. I don't give a shit about your video, it means nothing. All it says is that the other driver wasn't as good. Numbers don't lie, liars do the numbers ok. If you put the same driver skill in both cars the EVO will tromp in the quarter mile, stock for stock or mod for mod, the autocross, a road course, you name it the EVO will beat the 335i I don't care what you say. I don't think YOU ARE GETTING IT A STOCK 335i WILL NOT BREAK INTO THE 12's !!! AND IF YOU WANT TO TALK mild mods an EVO IX with a TBE/TUNE/CAM/Boost controller will get into the 11's. Or if you want to talk about big mods we can talk about big mods and the 335i will lose horribly there too.

Why are you comparing an Evo with a 335? 335's don't even have turbo kits available, yet are able to get into the 11's(IC's, DP's, etc) without them. It's already been proven that both cars with just tunes, the 335 wins. Try and start this argument in a couple years and we'll see how that goes.

The only valid point you've made is that on courses, the Evo will most definitely win.

Don't try to compare the 335i with a car that has as many cars in the 8's 9's and 10's as the EVO does. I don't even care what turbo kits come out for it the car still will exceed the potential of an EVO. On any track you put it on, sure it will be fast and yes I like the 335i but there are some cars you just can't beat out. The EVO is a monster no matter what game it plays.

7 Seconds anybody?

Here are some 8 second EVOs:

Or if you want to road course?

Now what 400hp 335i can hang with a Lambo?

Ok so now I'm waiting for the MY INTERIOR IS BETTER BULLSHIT

What do any of those links have to do with a car that has very little options for it right now, yet are running 11's with simple mods?

I mean if you're going to make a valid argument, then make one. All I see is the ranting of some 20 year old who loves to see his words on a monitor and very little else.

Why will this 3.0 liter inline six never make the power an Evo does? Educate everyone on this website. Plz

Ask AMS to come to this thread and tell everyone that a 335 will never make the power an Evo will or be as fast.

Shows how well built and engineered the N54 came from the factory.

Ask AMS to come to this thread and tell everyone that a 335 will never make the power an Evo will or be as fast.

The 4G63 is an Iron block 4 banger, it can handle about 600whp on stock internals with ungodly boost limits. it has been proven at over 1100hp and there are more than just a handful of them that are
700-900whp. Displacement does not mean everything, just because it's a 3.0L 6 cylinder does not mean it has more potential then the 2.0L 4 cylinder. Now ask yourself why there has not been more power made from the S54 engine in the E46 M3 with boost? You honestly think two turbos are better than one? You are wrong. I just shot a message to AMS and Jarod Buschur, they should have a response soon.

I don't think you know anything about a 1/4 mile track and what it takes to put serious power down to the ground. It won't ever be as fast because (some reasons)

-You can not fit a big enough slick in the rear

-The rear end cannot withstand that kind of power, and no one will probably ever make one that can

-IRS... not a solid rear axle when the rear wheels are putting the power down

-Boost limits, and twin turbos. The engine bay is so cramped that you may not even be able to fit two big twins in forcing you to go with a single turbo conversion. You would need a huge turbo GT42R to put down serious numbers.

There are many reasons. Why can't someone accept that another car outperforms it, that's the problem with BMW guys. They think there car does EVERYTHING better than anything else. Which is bullshit
