Anybody ever tried this with the heat-set inserts instead of the expansion ones?

They say heat-set inserts are supposed to be better about not torquing out, both when inserting and removing screws, and they also stress the plastic less and make it less likely to crack or for the insert to pull out. (Anybody seen any of those symptoms?)

If I make the order because a couple of people want some in Think I can get the sets shipped about $4-6 each. And that's max......not looking to make money here.

I just finished this repair tonight. Piece of cake and took 15 or 20 minutes. Worked great. I have enough for 2 sets of inserts and screws left over. PM me if you're interested.

I'm late to doing this mod. I converted over to the M3 cowl but i use the exact same screws that are used on the standard E9X cowl.

Anyone know if this works same on the M3 cowl? I will have to go look and make sure i have similar thickness. I will do a practice run on my E90 cowl that's in storage. thanks
