Intermitent Wiper issue

Ive got an 05 E90 320i and when using the wipers, which has been a lot recently! I have a small issue which is doing my head in.

Normally occurring using the intermittent setting, the wipers are stopping about 3-4" above the lowest position. Its never done it before so I don't know why its starting now?

Only happens for maybe 15-20 'wipes' then resets stopping at the lowest position.

Any ideas?

Anybody got any ideas on this? Wipers aren't resetting themselves now and are constantly half way up the dam windscreen! (well, about 4" up but it feels like half way!)

Does anyone know if there are micro switches or similar that hold the wipers in the bottom position? id guess there are but I can find them.

Thanks

No micro switches mate it's all integrated into the motor.

back when i had my E30, this was caused by the motor getting gunked up inside, you could remove the motor, and clean the contact tracks with electrical contact cleaner (or brake cleaner..) and that would improve/fix them. something like this:

Might be worth a try, I'll see how easy it is to remove. Fixed electric window motors the same way as it happens, so could be worth a try.

Cheers
