Is it not best to 2nd gear start? I heard that yields the fastest times. Makes sense as our cars have tons of torque and first gear seems to rev up quickly.

Yea! This is in Ontario
Here in Quebec, it's much different and more tolerance! In Quebec , police aren't allowed to high speed pursuit!!

Yes so far 2nd gear starts brake boosting with DTC off yields the fastest times.
