Not to worry... in short order, the only thing he'll be handling will be his own ass out the dealership's door.

DSC is no lie.

I turn it off at the track, so I won't have an unfair advantage over the rest of the drivers in my group...

He sounds like the kind of guy that I need to thoroughly terrify in the passenger seat before I can get him in the frame of mind to start learning something. And believe me... on a track... I'd have Mr. Koorosh more than just a little white knuckled.

Aztec32, please don't buy into this. This "man" is not just severely wrong... he's dangerous.

Does he still work there? I'd love to race him, LOL. Actually I went to the unveiling of the new G37 coupe and the sales guy thought he would beat me in my 335i sedan. He sat in the next lane over at the light, revving his engine at me. Light turned red, and you should have seen the look on his face.

Not at all. Just have little tolerance for the conduct that this grossly irresponsible person demonstrated.

I've been on a test drive gone bad with an overconfident salesman before.

Girlfriend knew this dude who worked at the local Criswell Chevy/Hummer/Lotus dealership. I think he was maybe 21 and I was around 22 at the time. I was sitting in an Exige S and he asked if I wanted to drive one, so of course I did. I wasn't really worried about driving this car since I had a 400whp Mustang at the time. We took it out with him driving first, then we'd switch. Dude thought he was Mario Andretti, driving like a madman, swerving in and out of traffic like crazy.

As we're coming up to a light, apparently he had decided we were going to pull in this shopping center and switch drivers. So outta nowhere, he takes this 90* turn at the light going probably 45-50 mph (trying to show off the great Lotus handling). Well it was about 50 degrees out and the sticky tires on the car were not even close to warmed up yet. Needless to say, the car didn't turn much when he cranked the wheel to the right. The car bounced off the center divider curb, the ricocheted back to the right side of the road where we jumped the curb and ended up in the grass, narrowly missing a tree on my side of the car.

Both of us were fine, and the car wasn't banged up too much, but we had just jumped a 7" curb in a car with maybe 3" of ground clearance. Had to get the car towed back to the dealership. Somehow he kept his job and only had to pay a grand or so, but I don't think they let him drive the fast cars anymore. That was an $80k car and they fixed it and had it back on the lot after a few months for around $55k.
