This is mad confusing DIY. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and tend to get things fairly quickly but this DIY is really confusing. I don't know if it's the wording or the lack of detail but I don't get how you guys are doing this.

successfully completed and would like to share some shortcuts, because laziness leads to innovation. With these few shortcuts it should not take more than 20 min, even if your car is lowered. BTW i used a 8 ohm resistor, no problem. bought at radioshack 2 for $5

Easiest place to ground resistor. each side of engine bay has it's own common ground. looks like this.

Easiest way to run the wire without taking everything apart. Be careful not to scratch the car!

Looks sexy now I just need some new angel eyes

i did this mod completely but now my blinkers blink faster than usual.
its more of a strobe light now.
anyways, i have the jlevi resistors on but i feel that they r not working because they do no get hot.
maybe i need to try the 8 ohm resistors as posted above.
any input?

U shouldnt have done this, why why, read the posts, there is a polish guy that can programe the car over the internet and without needing to cut a wire. I simply missed that and did the cutting.

Why it blinks faster is because your resistor cable is not connected good enough, check the cable and see that the splicer is all through. (I had the same problem)

is there any way to retain use of the halogen bulb for the side turn signal?

kind of odd to have just leds on the sides and no where else for some of us...

Hi to everyone! I know this thread is a tad old but I have a question on doing this mod. I have a 2006 325i e90 with error free LED turn signals installed, do I still need the resistors or I just can go ahed and do this without them? Thank you guys!
