Eisenmann is pretty deep (or at least a lot deeper than stock 335's I've sat in). Had it paired up with AR catless DP's and it was almost unbearable. On the hwy, I'd have to sit at 80+ to keep the droning down. It wasn't terrible driving around the city, but anywhere near that ~2K rpm w/ load and it was boomy. Took the DP's off, and the sound is honestly better to me. It's still super loud at startup (didn't really lose much noise there going to stock DP's), but on the hwy, the droning is bearable. I can actually talk on the phone. Under full throttle, it's still plenty loud w/ great sound. The only thing I really lost was the popping upon decel.

He asked for the deepest sounding catback, not the raspiest (i.e. Vanguard). I would do the BMW PE since it has a deep sound and you are worried about the dealer.

To the OP, personally I think the vangaurd is a good buy. It's well built, easy to install, doesn't sound too loud or wild or drone in the low end but really comes into it's own up at the top of the rev range. |
