Anyone around this area? I'm picking up my 335is tomorrow, and am totally new to European cars. I'm trying to determine what the local scene is like.

I am in the Pensacola area. I too have a 335is. Not sure of the BMW scene around here but I know a few car people.

We autocross monthly.

Gulf Coast is the region I am registered with but the venue isn't great. We primarily drive over to Wiregrass region which is near Dothan, AL. This month we had 7 cars in the group.

Cars and Coffee is trying to start up in Pensacola. There is a monthly group in Fort Walton Beach every 2nd Saturday.

Plenty of track days at NOLA and Barber. Last year there was a $350 3 day event in May at Barber. Looked to be the BMW club.

Cool. My main concern is finding a local mechanical guru, just in case I have some sort of problem I can't figure out.

I am good friends with a tech at Sandy Sansing BMW. The entire dealership treats me right.

Not sure of any indie shops around here. Don't trust many people to touch my car.

Im about a hr and half from the gulf coast, not much of a European car following here in this stretch of the south that iv found so far.

Yea I went to Baton Rouge for my aftermarket engine mounts and rear diff mount install. Miami for supercharger install, someone closer would be nice but guess its the cost of having nice things.

I just purchased my e90 335i and I'm in your neck of the woods. I have heard about Randall's Autohaus in Gulfport.I have no first had experience, but if you check it out, let me know I would love some info about them.
