Dunno, never done a widebody. But everybody who has always tells me there are some complications. Changing rear panels is a basic repairing prodecure, it's very easy IMO.

Rear took like 2 days, front took like a week (in work hrs)

Wow one of the best conversions I've seen.

And for those who didn't read the whole thread... Outside of the US the price difference between a 335 and M3 is HUGE.

$ 50,000 price difference between a 335 and a M3. Now I see why you did all this. The work looks impeccable, Congrats and best of luck with it.

Why wouldn't you just go with the m3 in the first place? Sweet color though! Pictures are entertaining.

Are those competition wheels in the third picture? If so, are you interested in selling them?

Now it's more narroved, but it was $50k when I started the project, now it's more close to $40k.

white335ispider:

a) price difference and besides I couldn't get this color for a 2nd hand car anyways.

b) No they are not, and sending wheels from Finland to US is insane.

Based on this, I might have to find myself a wrecked E92 M3 with front end damage and take out the rear parts to retrofit into my E92 335i. I always loved the rear, and the front is way too much work. Do I need the M3 gasoline door? Just to confirm, I will need:

Rear:

Bumper
Bumper guide
Steel wheelhouse
plastic wheelhouse
quarterpanel
M3 style exhaust
(if not 335 then also M3 trunk floor)

Mid:

Rockerpanels
