Official BMW Performance Exhaust for 320D out now!
Hi guys,
Was at my dealers earlier and apparently the 320D now lists a Genuine BMW Performance exhaust. Apparently it was recently released and is a twin exit version Has anyone got one fitted already? |

I'll get more info when I go to the dealer early next week. It's supposed to look like the Performance exhaust as that on the 330i's - which is rather nice. Would like to see it fitted as they've not done one before - as the part is quite new and is special order!
It is £500 retail price - which sounds reasonable considering genuine BMW part and shouldn't affect warranty as OE part. |

Why release it now when the f30 is in show rooms?

Cannot for the life of me understand why you'd want to put a performance exhaust on a 335d. There is no hp gain. If you want to improve the looks buy some new exhaust tips - much cheaper..

I've not seen any bulletins about this.
Sometimes new parts are taken off hold because they have been officially approved in Germany, it could still be awaiting UK approval, or there might not be any stock available. I've seen both these things happen before when parts have been said to be "available". This upgrade is more of a cosmetic and sound improvement than for power gain, there is usually a slight gain in hp. |

You can get the BCS one for £195 fitted, it's a nice looking box, tapered for the BMW bumper too. Think the BMW one would need to be no more than £300 to make it viable as someone stated earlier the benefits for the diesel are purely cosmetic. I can't see a way it would impact in any way a warranty either?
I spoke to BCS just befor Christmas and the exhaust can be fitted to E90/2/3 http://www.bcsautomotive.co.uk/produ...ion.php?PNo=74

hi guys,
i just got it done recently. check out the pics in this link.. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=659530 problem is in terms of sound, you're not going to get much unless you skin the cat and cut the resonator out. since Im still under warranty, i'll wait until it expires before i go that route. the looks of it is def. awesome, but the best thing is the performance, and i do feel the diff, in pick up, and high speed during highway runs. Pedal is lighter and car definitely moves! best thing, fuel economy also seems to pick up! only prob is the puff of black smoke everytime i step on it..lol regards, carlsson |
