Just did CDV Mod

Took about 1hr. Really simple. I went the route of completely removing the part and putting the lines back together w/out the CDV. The hardest part was bleeding the clutch. Not much room in there. Really need to spring for a power bleeder. Wife is getting aggrivated with bleeding. I've only driven the car around the block so far but I can tell there is much more response in the clutch. Finally feels what I would consider "normal". I'm driving the car tonight around town. I'll report back my results. But so far I give this mod a A+. Cost me one bottle of BMW brake fluid from the dealer.

Ok, drove all around last night. It's great. 1-2 shift is much better. I did a little 1st gear burnout and it is much better. As long as your not a complete idiot you don't need this baby sitter on the clutch.

how do you bleed the clutch anyway?
I noticed very little difference after the mod. ( I suspect air in line..)

If the clutch has air, it wouldn't work. Same thing as bleeding brakes/air in brakes etc.

hmm ok thanks for the info.. the clutch engagement seems to have kind of an "on/ off" feel.. like instant engagement. guess you have to just get used to it. O.P sorry if I went
