CONFIRMED. E9x will get the new 825W sound system option in 08 models

So far mine hasn't heard a word of it comming to the 3 serries, until I e-mailed him a link to this thread. Hopefully it pans out for us in the USA!

fyi, eton supplies drivers to aftermarket companies such as JL Audio, Diamond Audio and a few others. Very good quality.

It's not happening for early production. The 08 model changes have already been announced.

Here is my thoughts:
677 Logic7 sound system with Surround Sound and Digital Sound Processing
Is in the option list for E90 and is STANDARD now

While the same code exist for E92, but listed as 677 Premium hi-fi system also STANDARD

Does this mean we will have bumped up stereo for both E90 and E92?
E90 gets Logic7 vs. 2007 standard
E92 gets Hi-Fi vs. 2007 Logic7

So, Hi-Fi = 825W?

yeah, but it's the same price as the logic 7, so i am a little suspicious of just renaming...

and to the poster that asked if you could just change out the subs, you would need a more powerful amp to power those subs as well to make a lick of difference...

This is true, but why they would name them differently between E90 and E92?
Besides, Logic7 is now standard on E90, meaning they put better system, which used to be an option as standard feature
So if this the case for E92 as well, they put better system into it and named it "hi-fi" or high-end, whatever
I dont think:
E90 Logic7 = E92 Hi-Fi
The problem is BMWUSA site has nothing on 825W or hi-fi

I e-mailed BMWNA a month ago about this "individual" option and they had no clue what I was talking about, even though I was rather specific. While I would love to get it, I think the Logic7 will still be a good step up from my current E46 Harman Kardon system.

nevermind... i just checked out the 08 builds that are out on BMWUSA.com, and I can safely say it's the same system, they just call it something new!
