Seeing as the rest of the cars are totally different (mechanical bits excluded), I can't see the trunks being the same.

Ok so I went to Don at JL today. Got a great tour of the factory where they make all the major subs..but anyways on to the good stuff. Some guy came in yesterday with his e92 and Don said the trunk looked almost identical. After some testing to make sure the subs would be heard in the car we decided that we will move on to the next step....create a fiberglass prototype for the enclosure. He is putting a 10W6 in there which should be enough bump in your trunk haha...any questions?

wait a second, they're charging you for letting them use your car to design their enclosure? 10W6 and one of their amps? so i guess the idea is that they won't charge you for labor, only parts?

Can't they do a 12w6v2 or a 10w7. To charge 600-700 bucks for a 10w6? Seems like it wouldn't be worth it to me.

They'll want an E90 for fitment. There are more E90's out there than other E9x's so more customers for them.

The stealth boxes are ridiculously overpriced. Go take a look at the retail prices. Here is one for the 5 series as an example.

No I do not have to pay...they offered to rent me a car too but we have an extra one so no need for that. They are using my car as a tester and then giving me a production stealthbox for free99...Im going to tell him that people would really rather have a 12w6 or 10w7 and ask him if thats possible..he was a knowledgeable guy so if theres enough space in there I think he would do it...Most likely going in next wednesday or friday so I will update the thread then.

sure seem so. guess they dont have any competition in this contoured woofer product. also since its for a 'luxury' car, they're pricing 'accordingly' arent they.

I dont know what their production costs are but they produce everything here in South Florida, by hand. From the box the sub goes in to the actual sub, to the testing of it. Im not saying the price is justifiable, but its going to look good and sound amazing!!
