No I don't think so. You don't have any clear-coat peeling or anything along those lines from what I can see in the pic. The damage seems to be isolated to the areas where brake dust naturally accumulates the most, and is spotty. As long as you maintain your wheels decently from here out, they should remain in the same condition without much worry of this spreading.

Make sure you stock up on some quality wheel cleaner and brushes: they'll make your life MUCH easier. If cleaning your wheels isn't a difficult or time consuming task, you're more likely to keep them clean.

Looks like your going to have to repaint them. I switched the factory wheels out for chrome factory wheels. I'm cleaning them every week and noticed that just washing them was not enough. I started using wheel wax and that really helped with break dust not sticking as much. Good luck

wrong answer, especially if its clear failure, degrading paint, missing paint, etc. You will do more harm this way!

exactly why my mom will wipe her wheels down every couple of days with ONR. Plus to her, the wheels set off the car! I agree!

Have you tried claying the wheel/s? Both my 330xi and 335xi had some rough brake dust worn in all over the wheels, claying them got a ton of it out. There is still some areas I need to polish to get the last of the crap out but claying fixed most of it. If you do use clay for wheels try to keep that clay for wheels only.
