Please help, car doesn't start after flashing
Hey guys, so I have an OFT and I plugged it in to flash it to stage 3, went through the prompts (this is not my first time flashing with OFT) and I left the car, since it takes like 10 mins to flash. I came back and OFT read "fail to communicate with DME" and the car was off. I tried starting it and it is giving long cranks but doesn't start.. The iDrive displays all kinds of crap "AWD DSC malfunction" "tranny malfunction" "fuel Pump" "sos malfunction" ....what the hell happened ??? I tried jump starting it from a friends car and no go, just long cranks... please help

Well to flash the car it requires you to have the ignition and accessory on, without turning on the engine.. Shiv also suggests using a battery charger, but I didn't... I just tried jumping it again, and nothing but long cranks.

The only time something similar happened to me I left my Cobb ap all night didn't shut it off I drained my battery. Jump started it and everything was fine after that. So if you jump started it Idk what it could be? Did you try leaving the oft while you left the donor car on your cars battery? Also try to re flash to a stock map before starting.

No, just to realign the ekp. If it's outta sync it could cause a no start condition. Just throwing out ideas tho. If you can't communicate to your DME with anything, however, then something else may be up

Ok I'll try it when I get home. Could I have fried the DME? Since the battery probably died during flashing

You didn't fry anything... Get a battery charger and email wedge...

I did this while flashing with a bt cable once... ask because I didn't have enough constant voltage to write. Now I always get jumper cables and add another car to the battery ( started usually). Try hooking up another car with jumpers that's started, and do another write session,... That's what worked for me.

This happened to me before, flash got screwed up in the middle, its like transferring stuff to a USB and it got unplugged in the middle. Sometimes you can unplug the battery for 30 minutes plug it back in and reflash with ORIGINAL firmware. If you are like me and it stuck and won't write anything you need an INPA cable to reflash with a software throughout the backend. WEDGE did mine a year ago when i bricked mine.

UPDATE: Fixed! I emailed Wedge, he suggested unplugging the battery for 10 mins and reflashing with stock tune. I did that and it worked. I also made sure to use a charging system while flashing! Thank you everyone and especially Ken @ wedge performance! he got back to me really quick!!
