Good Deal? Good Choice?

Well,

Today I went to the local dealership with a 335xi Coupe in mind ... So I drive one (for the second time) and love it of course.

They I spy a 328xi Coupe in black sitting there .... Hmm I say and take that for a test drive.

Other than the obvious 70 horsepower, same car to me .... I do not drive fast at all, so I'm thinking the 328xi is the car for me. (and being in Canada, I cannot justify 7k+ for the bigger engine with my driving habits.)

So at the end of the day, I bought the 328xi Coupe, 6 speed, Dakota Leather, Sport Package, 18" Rims/tires, Sunroof, Premium Sound ...

I bought the car for MSRP less $3000.00 (which is the kickback for a cash deal in Canada to poorly compensate for the US exchange rate) and then managed to wrangle another 5% discount on top of that ...

I take delivery Friday of this week.

Did I do the right thing????? I really wanted the horsepower, but I cant justify it, for me !

Hmmm ... Interesting thought. I'll have to hunt for pictures of a debadged one and see what it looks like.

black looks mighty good debadged. jet black FTW. just be sure to wash it every weekend and then some. it is really sad to see new jet black bmw's all dirty.

I have a hunch these people have similar condition underpants.

oh well im just saying debadge because some people will think it looks really clean in my opinion. Oh and since its a 328, some people mioght think its a 335

Nice. You did the right thing. You matched your preferances up to the car that would suit you best. 3000 off MSRP is a good deal. I test drove the 335xi and the 328xi, and ended up with the 328. Plenty of power and acceleration for me!
