There are 3 different web cams. I watched for about 5 minutes and saw a NYK ship pass through, and some other autoliner. Maybe someone can get lucky, catch it, and post a pic.

Here is Isolde cruising around the outer bay of the PanCanal. She will eventually park out there for the night. She is booked to transit the canal in the morning 4/28.

They generally start very early in the morning, as it will take until dinnertime for her to go through the 51 miles of the canal system. They only take these super vessels through during daylight hours. Usually they are in Gatun Locks when I wake at 6 am MST, but I have seen them transit at 10 am.

Attached is a graphic that will show you what the canal system looks like. There are three web cameras along the way. The first one is at Gatun Locks (and it will take about an hour to get through these locks), then about five-six hours later she will pass under (and by camera #2) the Centennial Bridge, and then the Mira Flores Locks (and 3rd camera) is right around the corner from the bridge. If she starts at 6 am, she will reach Centennial Bridge just after lunchtime and then Mira Flores around 2-3 pm. It takes about 2 hours to get through the Mira Flores Locks and is a good camera to watch. Mira Flores also has a hi-resolution camera. Here is the link to the web cams. Take a look now!

The PanCanal has been backlogged lately, so there is a chance she won't go tomorrow, but she should.

woohoo thanks guys for starting a thread on the Isolde. I called my dealer about 2 weeks ago and he said that my car is on the Isolde. He gave me a ETA 5/5/08. Is that the date it arrives at the Port of Hueneme or the day I should get my car.

My car was finished in production on 4/2/08

Expect the Isolde to dock at Port Hueneme on May 5. With luck you'll have your car later that week. But realistically some time the next week. I love that boat.

I think when she gets into the different light of the day we will find she is green on the other cameras. I think those green things that are showing in other pictures of her have now been painted white. I have seen repaints like this before. The mast and other parts of the top look the same. Plus radar shows her in Gatun, so I am confident that is her.

If she continues on and doesn't stop in Gatun Lake (which they do sometimes), she should reach the Centennial Bridge camera around noon PST, or a little thereafter.

The Graceful Leader has come and gone but I still am fond of the Isolde (she hauled my first order in January).

Isolde is such an appropriate name for the ship that hauls bimmers from Bremerhaven! I'll have to find my Wagner to listen to on the way home.

I'm here in the Bay Area as well. I'm thinking earliest possible might be next Friday or possibly Saturday morning? I wouldn't be surprised if it is 2 weeks from today though...we shall see.

Thanks, Gary. I am fond of my first ship, too. It was the Aegean Leader, two years ago. I have seen her out and about as I have tracked other ships these past few months, but I haven't seen her come west to SoCal again.

It looks like Isolde is coming into the Mira Flores Locks. Look at the high resolution camera.

I still don't see her anywhere in the canal region on radar. That was Grand Phoenix and Victory Ace that just went through Mira Flores. Since Isolde went through Gatun with Victory Ace this morning, they should have been together at Mira Flores. I think Isolde is hiding somewhere.
