Looking good. I got a set of original 260 waiting to be mounted on my 330i E91. Today it is 245/40 on all wheels, but I'm planning to change the rears to 255/35.

Today I fitted my 330i Touring with my new (used) 260's.
All wheels are wearing 245/40 Michelin PS3, but I'm planning to change the rears to 255/35. No rubbing at all with this setup.

Sorry for the greasy car.

Sorry for digging out an old post but...

Hi, I don't want to post a new topic but I need some help.
I have been offered a super deal on a set of (219M or 260M 18" M3 wheels) from a local tire shop.

They look like this (not actual picture of the wheels)

from searching the forum, ppl are putting 265/35/18 in the back and 245's in the front.

As I plan to put the above wheels on my pre-LCI E90 (non-sport and not lowered) and mount 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 tires on them:

1) Would there be any problems doing this?
2) Would I have any problems mounting my existing (Dunlop Z1 star spec) 225/40/18 and 255/35/18's on the M3 wheels?

The reason for putting 225 and 255's is because I have these tires currently on my style 189s and I don't want to buy new tires are they are very new less than 3000km's on them.

I thank in advance for everyone's assistance/comments.

225/40 and 255/35 will fit with no issues. It will virtually eliminate any chance of rubbing on your pre-LCI car. The only issue will be a very slight stretch to the tyres to fit them over the wheels. Nothing extreme but some people hate that look.

THanks, I just picked up the wheels. They are sitting in the car right now. Swapping over the 225s and 255s over tmr morning from the style 189s. I hope they are not too stretched, I am a bit worried about the stretched look.

I can't find any pics of the 260 or 219 with 225s ans 255s anywhere so I will post some pics up tmr. *fingers crossed*

I realize the Dunlop Z1 star specs i have now are a bit fatter than the Bridgestone Re050s run flats that came with the 189s. I hope that will help the stretch issue a bit.

Z1s run very wide with a squared off shoulder. I don't think you will really notice any stretching. Be sure to post pictures. I wish I could run M3 wheels but I have an LCI touring with the wider rear track so I cannot.

The wheels are on the car but not without an episode. I left the car with the tire guy and left for work. The guy calls back in 30 mins and told me the wheels aren't going to fit. I ended up having to go down and tell him to put it on with the tires etc on one side to experiment first. It ended up being a good fit with the tire guy looking embarrassed.

Here are some pics, sorry for the dirty car as it was raining a bit in Hong Kong today.

Sorry for the greasy car.
Is the concavity of the wheels different or is just me?? The back wheels look more concave than fronts. Is the same for 219 and 260 ?

edit: does anyone know the weight for these wheels 219 and 260?

The 260 is wider and a deeper offset, so yeah a lot more concave.

Don't know about the 219, have a look on www.realoem.com

The backs are wider and have a lower offset so of course they are more concave. Every BMW ever made with a staggered wheel and tyre setup is like that, have you not noticed?

I want to fit a set of 8.5 ET 29 on my E92. But if I can't use the more concave ET23 I may reconsider my decision.
