On map 8 the wastegates should be fully open... And they shouldn't rattle when fully open. Can you post a video of the rattle, it seems to be coming from something else than your turbos based on description... |

It's hard to tell man. Strange how it only happens at specific RPM though... I'm out of ideas here, keep us posted on what you find out. Good luck bro, I hope it turns out to be a simple/cheap fix...

90% sure it is flex plate or torque converter imbalance., Have them checked for loose bolts and cracks. I would also check all the mounts trans and engine because something probably moved to cause your issue.

Funny thing though is that it started happening after I installed turbos intercooler and downpipes(all at the same time) |

That's not your waste-gates... I'd bet it's exhaust related...

I think it is rotational based on being RPM related and the noise. I'd take it in to a good shop and let them diagnosis it. But my bet right now because of all the other sutff we eliminated and your trans issues is flex plate/torque converter. Get them to pull the belt to rull out accessories also. Does it happen at the same RPM in every gear?

Already re checked everything! The mechanic hit the exhaust in different spots with the rubber hammer and he was able to slightly replicate the sound, he then verified that it was coming from the turbo and he said it's an adjusment. So I donno I'm going to go with his word, hopefully this adjustment doesn't screw up my brand new turbo.

That is definitely wastegate rattle....I had exactly the same sound when Ivo installed my downpipes.
It eventually seemed to go away when I adjusted wastegate duty cycles a bit. But yeah......I remember being kind of upset at the time too. Upside is that the turbos worked fine regardless. |

Do a search and you will see that the consensus is that the front turbo adjustment nut is impossible to get to unless you start removing engine parts. If it's just the rear turbo that's rattling then you will be probably be good to go. Where are you taking the car to get this done? Would be good to have another resource available to work on this platform given it has so many annoying problems. |

I have brand new dealer installed turbos and my car makes the exact same sounds. I'm FBO with JB4, haven't messed with settings yet. But let me know what happens. I've had my car back a week today and haven't driven much because my stock charge pipe cracked. I just put in the er cp with tial bov and noticed the rattle after about 10 miles. I'll try some of the tricks mentioned as well and report back
