Did the OP ever figure out what this is?

I now have the same exact sound but only on hard acceleration in 2nd gear. Doesn't happen in any other situation.

The other weird thing is it sounds like its coming from right in front of me, not over to the side. For a while i thought it was something related to the air intake...is this something unique to wastegate rattle, sounds like its coming from somewhere else?

I just installed new Rob Beck's onto mine and there was a slight rattle, only in 1st, 2nd gear and accelearting in low RPM. I used the map 11 and map 12 on the JB4 to dial it in and fix it that way. The rattle is now gone with only a slight, very slight rattle.

I was pissed off at first there, but thankfully the JB4 helped correct it. Not having that rattle is nice, my wastegates on the stock turbos were shot.

I also just installed RB turbos over memorial weekend and I had really bad rattle. So I set the jb4 menu 12 to 4k and started playing with menu 10 starting at 6 and went up. It's set at 4k so that is 80 and all my rattle is gone. Now I just need to figure out the best map to use.

Rattle can also be caused by your tune and wgdc, sometimes it just a simple switch of some values and the rattle can be dialed out depending on how bad it is.
