Recaro baby seat

Does anyone know if Recaro has entered Canada and if not is it legal to buy and the US and use it here?

Never knew Recaro's were illegal, my buddy has one on his built civic and never really had any issues with it.

*PS. He did get it shipped from a foreign country though

Its not that "Recaro's are illegal", car seats are country specific. It could be a Peg Perego from the US but not legal in Canada.

I was thinking of ordering it from the US but the last thing I need is an inspection with a car seat thats possibly illegal in Canada.

lol....literally asked the same question this weekend with my wife....

the recaro baby seats have actually not passed canadian safety standards therefore cant legally be used here.

They not not legal here. They look cool and I actually had one as well. As mentioned before, they haven't passed the Canadian Standards. Not worth the risk. If something happens, (God forbid) insurance will just blame the seat.

Yes they look very cool! But oh well good to know, for sure not worth the risk. Not only insurance would not pay you could get charged with "something".

Was going to say my buddy has one in his E90 M3. looks wicked, and since its at ToyRUs, must have passed inspection.
