I can PM the rest if you wish, but its mainly stuff about how the 370z is much more of an animal and gives a harder and more raw ride? He said the e46M3 is more a quick coupe and the 370z much more raw.
Personally I cant say because the last m3 i drove was over 4 years ago. But comparing my friends 370z to my E90, I would say the 370 is way faster and louder and nice and flat through the bends, and its also better damped. It does ride much stiffer. whereas the E90 in comparison is less well damped, and has a much sharper turn in and change of direction which kind goes against the RAW-ness he claims of the 370z. ? |

The 370z posts slower 0-100mph times so it not quicker. Round a track I don't know, not a car I'm interested in. A E46 M3 is an iconic car.

Forget that guy, he seems a little scared of maintenance.
Buy an E46 mate, you will love it

Got that one in my favourites mate. Yeah it is good. They really don't like the SMG though.
Have a look at my video. It's just a discussion (20mins) but definitely worth a listen to the whole thing. They make some very valid points.

RE: mods,
Not really mate, the car is pretty much perfect as it is, I think coilovers are too harsh for the road and springs alone will ruin the handling. I like the standard exhaust note so will not change that but have some larger Euro tips to put on. Not interested in different wheels, I like the OEM 19"s. I may re-map at some point, and if any decent used BBK come up, upgrade that side of things.

Yea mate, this is why its taking so long, trying to find a well looked after unmolested example. For me the older a car gets it has to be OEM, OEM is the new modified.
However something to think about the Bilstein PS10's have excellent reviews and were fitted to the porker in the other vid, the come with a lifetime warranty and so weighing that up against the cost of springs and shocks seems reasonable ( £1600 inc vat). +1 on the BBK too. The only one thing bothering me, is the Vanos Bolts issue. I mean people are reporting the car driving completely fine before they just snap. What are your thoughts on this? Have you had the Loctite bolts fitted? |

I have not heard of them just snapping. Just working loose to which you are suppose to hear/notice.
I have not touched my Vanos bolts since I have owned her

remap won't give you anything on the e46 m3 mate....u'd be lucky to get 10bhp out of it...if not lose some!.. the m division has already squeezed everything out of this engine...just like the e92 one and Type R engines... They're all NA and tuned to the max from factory... |
