Need Help Updating

Ok, so I have a 2006 e90 and I accidentally coded the car with whatever files come with standard tools 2.3 and referenz_apr_2006 (Got them from another site). This set up is also the only one I can get working, but now I need to update my daten files to getting my cluster gauge working again.

If I update to v48 I get BEST errors. I then tried updating to standard tools 2.11 but then I get Chassis and Vin errors, which I believe means I am missing files or an incompatibility b/w programs.

Anyone know how to update (I used total commander) my daten files and programs, or start fresh?

Also, I'm sure my 2006 car doesnt need v48 files, so what are the latest daten files that will work with ediabas 6.4.7?

EDIT UPDATE: Seems like installing standard tools 2.11 and then copying any missing files from an old working installed allow me to be able to recode like 10 modules of my car successfully (possibly fixing my gauges), now I have new error about something with the 6BMOT module or something...

What do hope to achieve by updating.

What do hope to achieve by updating.
Unless you have specific goals and features you want to add
with hardware you are probably risking the health of your
car for no specific reason.
If you are changing specific features it might be worth doing.

I accidentally coded (while trying to learn) with daten files from 2006 and killed my gauges. The solution to this is to update the daten files, but the v48 daten files only work with newer software...

So basically I need to update both software and daten so I can recode my car to fix my gauges. I got it semi-working now and was able to fix the gauges tho.

From my experience, ST2.11 wont work well if you do not update your Ediabas to 7+ ..
There is a complete package floating around with ST2.8, Ediabas 6.4.7 with V39 files, which should work perfect for cars until 2007 atleast.

I got everything working, little bit of a ghetto install tho and idk how well INPA works, but I installed 2.11, then replaced all missing files with ones from a working setup, then used 'Bmw coding tools' (a program I got from another site) and updated all my daten files. So it's all good for now.
