Question Meth trunk tank question

Hey Guys,

I've been reading a few threads regarding this. Converting the PWM kit to run in the trunk seems pretty easy. Several guys here have left the pump in the bay and have the system pull the fluid from the trunk.

One user posted data here showing that he noticed a marginal drop in flow.

My question is, if I fail to relocate the pump and extend the lines to the trunk will the actual longevity of the pump be in question? Should I install a check valve along the way?

Also has anyone else logged the flow rates other then 1 user? I may be a guinea pig.

So much easier to do right the first time. These pumps are gravity feed and work best when located under the tank. You already have to run the meth line, just extend the power wire, as well and put the pump in trunk as well. You will have less headaches down the road. Even with a check valve, it is possible for air to enter the line...faultly valve or point from pump to checkvalve.

Well I have to say I installed the tank only today and ran the lines. I left the system set-up so I could easily move the pump back there if need be. I noticed ZERO change in performance other then a very long air purge. I post a pic of my set-up and custom bracket later.

make sure you log them. i left my pump in the front and the performance was poorer than when i used WW tank. when i moved the pump to the trunk, below the tank, i got a WHOLE lot more spray and more consistent flow.
