Narrowly avoided major damage to my car today. Was cruising along on 91 South minding my own business and some moron in a two-gen old Jetta weaving through traffic at 100+ decided he'd cut me off. There was literally about two inches between my car and his and then maybe three and four between his and the car in front. Naturally, since he was doing about 90 at this point, he had to brake hard, forcing me to literally slam my brakes full force. Had there been anyone behind me at the time (all the more reason to be pissed at him for cutting me off, if he had waited oh, say, a half second, he could've merged in just fine), they would've hit me HARD.

And, of course, instead of learning from his douchebaggery and nearly causing his insurance to skyrocket, he decides to continue weaving through heavy traffic at easily 100+ in his ugly little girl's car.

/rant

Just had to get that off my chest.

Sucks. There was a douchebag in a G35 coupe doing the same thing on 495 earlier this week. Almost caused a major accident when he tried passing on the right without checking his blind spot. I noticed much more stupidness on the road this week, guess the nice weather is brining them all out of the woodwork.

All sorts of stupidness happening on the roads lately. Most recent was some guy flying down the breakdown lane and plowing into a disabled car. Had to play clean up.

Ugh. I don't have a problem with people who speed on open stretches of road, but people who weave in and out of traffic at high speeds like that are just being dangerous. I wish police would spend more effort going after those types of people instead of just ticketing someone who decided to open the throttle up a bit on an empty stretch of highway.

Nah, I was actually in Southern CT when it happened. Holyoke drivers suck too, especially near the Holyoke Mall. As if the parking situation weren't bad enough already there, the place is packed full of idiot drivers. Guaranteed door dings unless you park in the middle of nowhere. So really, it's a matter of choosing between having your car damaged or getting mugged/stabbed.

Rob, you probably mentioned this when I commented on your taillights at the coding meet, but how'd you go about smoking them, spray can tint? They look excellent - still leaves the lighting perfectly visible and safe, doesn't look rice at all like most taillight tints (in my opinion at least), but still manages to stop them from being so bright and contrasting too much with the rest of the car.

8.5" front 9.5" rear is the way to go - looks great, flush, no rubbing.

Headed up to F1 Boston (hopefully F1 Outdoors if they're open) Friday and plan on getting my car tinted at Tint King while I'm in the area. Bryan said they have some new Huper Black that's less expensive than the Optik and won't interfere with the comfort access. Said the Suntek Carbon doesn't stick well to the dot matrix and that they use adhesive with the Huper Black. I'll post some photos of the dot matrix once I get it done.

My brother lives on 72nd and York... I hit a pothole on 82nd and punctured one of my winter tires last year. Luckily I was carrying a OEM RFT in the trunk with my harbor freight jack. Pulled over and changed it on 1st ave.

I'm not taking my car anywhere near the city with the CCWs. Parking in my parent's garage in NJ and rollin' to the city in my dad's 2011 535i xDrive
