Hmm I don't know. It seems like the low end of the rpm is better and a bit more responsive. That's with my PBX off, I have yet to try it with it on.

This sound is this from the Exhaust or Intake?
I saw a 328 with a perf exhaust have that blip.

Is the blip there because there is no resonator??
I ask because the 128i PE has still the resonator intact.

blip cuz my right foot tell it to do so lol.... c'mon u got manual too...

i really not sure about 1 series PE perhaps you should ask around in the 1 series forum. but either way im sure those sound guru at bmw sound lab fine tuned PE for your 128i as well.

I think some folks there use 135i stock exhaust and gained few HP if you wanted more budget upgrade, just not sure about the sound though.

Yup, same here. I've noticed only a slight improvement in responsiveness, but it's there.

It might not be very noticeable to you as the change takes so long but it will happen. It's kinda like relatives commenting on how much the kids have grown but the parents don't see it.

I bet by summer you will have grown to love the sound. I sure hope it's the same for me!

Thanks. I look forward to it.

I installed mine today, pretty straight forward. The only issue I had was squeezing the the two pipes together to get them to slip back onto the studs on the headers. I took the entire exhaust off to measure and cut off the car.

Did you use this part number: BMW part number 18-10-2-208-793? Asking, since you have E90 330i, like myself, and the product can't be found under BMW PE Accessories. Only, under 07+ 328i/xi. I'm having difficulties with my local dealer.

I only ordered the PI. If I do PE it'll be next summer. I'll let you guys know of changes/differences after I install it since most of you went for the PE only. Should be here next week and I'll install as soon as possible.

Groceries or Exhaust? Hmmmm.

Pass the instant ramen please.

Side: now I know what the deal with the tips is...a little big for my taste, but the sound more than makes up for it.

Quick shout out to Rick at Monrovia. Very professional bunch of people. Thanks for making it happen!

Do you know approximate dimensions of the box that it shipped in?

Also how much was shipping to Texas? I'm in Canada but I have someone in Texas who might be able to receive it for me so just wanted to know if it's worth the hassle.

Exclamation

ok so ive been searching and searching and cant find a true answer haha, so please guys some help! this is my first post and my first BMW so excuse my lack of knowledge please. I have a 2006-325i and im trying to get all the info i can for the Performance Exhaust because i would like to purchase it. I found a great deal at a BMW in CA for a PE but its only listed for the 328, but i was under the impression that the 328 and 325 are both N52, so would this work for my car? Also ive looked at dozens of sound clips and whats the difference between a E90 and E92? On the Videos i watched the PE sounded better on the E92 then the E90, Idk if it was just the camera or what? so if anyone can tell me the difference in the sound or if both types (E90 and E92) sound the same, and part numbers for my car, and answer my questions I'de appreciate it alot!!

its the same for 328, 330. e90 and e92 part number will be different.

also e90 and e92 should produce same sound, externally, but I think e92 are a bit louder inside.

Shicobico thanks for sharing your P/E experience. Just recently fitted mine, but can deffo hear more inside than stock (though mine is an E92 - so only two doors). Like you, my windows are now open most of the time!

The damage to the tips is inexcusable and I think you should complain to BMW. Luckily I collected mine from a dealer and the tips were well protected and the box undamaged. But BMW need to know that their current packaging is insufficiency robust to survive handling by third party carriers...

Smile Ordered The Pe

Well guys its official, i've finnaly ordered my PE for my 325i!! I ordered it this morning and let me just say THANK YOU to manny at BMW of monrovia! He was very proffesional and helped me through the whole process, while answering any and all questions i had about it. BTW anyone who is in need of a exhaust needs to hurry and get on monrovia's sight because theu have crazy deals going on! I got my PE for only 9xx compared to the 13xx here at Bellvue. Delivered to WA its about 1xxx.
Its sad to say that my BMW of Bellvue in Washington isent up to par, but that is only regarding to the parts department. When i called to ask about ordering from them and to talk to the parts people, the service rep i got was rude beyond belief. No problems with the rest of bellvue. But back to the point!!
Im Ridiculously excited to see this exhaust arrive and it should only take untill the weekend, but we will see. Ill make sure to post pictures when it comes, as well as pictures and videos of my whole experience from receiving to installing it. may take a week or two to get it installed haha. But ill live!
BTW any others with 325's feel free to ask me any questions abotu PE because i feel a lack of information is provided for our cars pertaining to PE
