Xenon Help Urgently Needed Guys
I have bought some LCI Dynamic Adaptive Xenon Headlights for my 2006 Pre-LCI car that already has factory Xenons already installed
I have been told the ballasts and bulbs, connections etc is exactly the same Can anyone please confirm this? I have the car booked in for Monday to have these swapped over and coded up but I need to make sure they are compatible before I pay loads out on labour costs Your help is much appreciated Thanks

Has your pre-LCI car got adaptive xenons too?

That function won't work as you won't have the required sensors. I'm not sure if the main connections are the same - certainly you'll have an unused adaptive input - but hopefully you might get an answer from somebody who has done this.

I may be wrong, but been told that you will also require FRM3 for this to work.

yeah been told that before but spoke to m//style in essex and they said no, just the adaptive function will not work, and a local bmw specialist says he can code them up no problem but does not know if the ballasts etc from pre-lci will fit
Just hoping someone has done this and has some advice

You need frm 3 with AHL compatability or a frm that can accept coding for AHL.
Sensors are the same but you need to tap into the steering angle sensor loom for adaptive to work. You also need to change build date of car to 2009 to code the lights correctly. Not sure about ballasts being the same as I bought my lights complete
