Split MP3 Tracks to play continuously

I have long Trance MP3's and they are about 70 min 1 MP3 Track. I've split the tracks into 10 separate mp3's because when you are 40min into the song and you want to go back a little if there is only one track it goes to the beginning of the track.

How do you get the BMW mp3 player to play the mp3's continuosly, just like when you burn a CD without the 2 second gap between tracks.

you are better off importing them onto an ipod and playing it continuously through the aux jack with a cable you can get almost anywhere. I use mp3 cd's and group them by category and everything and its pretty cool what the cd player can handle but I dont think it can play 70 minutes without changing it? Have you tried to compress the file and just leave it as one track? Let me know what works I have some long electronic beats but I just use my ipod now!

Only way to do it is to burn the MP3 to CD Audio, and then break it into CD tracks. It can't be done w/ the MP3 player, because it has to read the table of contents on the MP3 disc before it changes the track. That's the 2 second delay that won't be there w/ a regualar CD changing tracks.

Random Play Capability with MP3 Burned CDs

Hi,

I have a question about random play on my BMW Professional Radio (non iDrive).

Say I burn a standard CD disc using iTunes MP3 format with 8 albums and 12 songs per album. Will the random play feature work with all 96 songs or only the 12 songs on the selected album????

I have alot of Elton John CDs that I want to have on one disc and be able to play randomly.

Thanks

Wallyf

I'm pretty sure if you press back / forward for a couple of seconds, it seeks rather than skips, ie forwards/rewinds rather than beginning of current track/next track. I know on the steering wheel with the controls it does that and I'm pretty sure a passenger has done that on the radio interface. Though I do have Business Navigation so I don't know if the radio interface of the non-navigation acts differently. But I would think not.
